Local Blueberry Honey 6"X6" Oil on Board SOLD The other day I went to paint at the opening of this year’s Farmers’ Market. I painted at them last year and I saw many of the same vendors and it felt like a reunion of sorts. Someone new to me had a booth with a variety of different local honeys that were each different in there honey colors. Some, much deeper browns then this one and I really was curious to see what I could manage with the reflections in a still life. I decided to keep this simple and put a white table cloth down for the light foreground and contrasting color for the dark background. I liked the look of the strong reflection through the honey on the white cloth, the light being magnified through honey and glass, a nice little touch I thought.
